Happy One Month Birthday Noah!
Dear Noah -
Happy One Month Birthday! You have almost gained one pound and have gotten a little taller. You are a small boy, but look at your parents...what should we expect?! You and I have really bonded over the last month. I'm not going to lie, you have your moments and your days, but you are a sweet boy most of the time. I have noticed so many changes in you in just the past few days. You are making new noises, and you talk to me more often. You are fixing your gaze on me and your daddy and sister Scarlett, and you seem to be close to smiling at us. You played on your baby gym for the first time this week, and you love looking at the mobile and shapes above your head. You are a good nurser, and you love sleeping on my chest. Most afternoons, we take a nap, and you sleep on my chest while Scarlett sleeps on my legs. I won't miss the exhaustion I feel somedays, but I will miss our sweet naps together. You still haven't warmed up to getting a bath or to being naked. You prefer to be clothed and warm and cuddled. If you had your way, I would hold you twenty four hours a day. I am soaking in the cuddles because before long, you won't want to cuddle anymore and I'll be chasing you around the house.
Noah, your mommy and daddy love you so much. I feel like we grow into a family more each day and are learning how to be parents and take care of you the best we can. Your sister Scarlett seems to enjoy your company more, but she's still trying to figure you out. I am looking forward to seeing you two play together one day!

Noah is Three Weeks Old
Dear Noah,
We have had you for three weeks now! A part of me feels like these 21 days have gone by so quickly, and another part of me feels like our days together have lasted a lifetime. You have such a personality so far, and you make your daddy and I laugh with your funny facial expressions and your quick temper that comes out of nowhere. You look like an angry old man sometimes! When your anger fades, and you look up at me with those big blue eyes, I fall in love with you even more.
You love to take naps with your arms raised around your head, but we are glad you let us swaddle you at night because it allows you to sleep a little better. Unfortunately, you didn't sleep too well last night, and I think you may be hitting a growth spurt. You are feeding well, and you have surpassed your birth weight. When we took you to the pediatrician last week, you weighed 7 pounds and 1 ounce.
Mommy is preparing to be alone with you all day for the first time on Friday, so we tried out our ktan carrier this week. You are still a little small for it, but you seemed to like it. Hopefully, I will be able to get some things done during the day. If you had it your way, I would sit on the couch and hold you all day. You love to cuddle!
You lived through the Snowmageddon of 2014 this week. Birmingham experienced one of the most dangerous storms the city has seen in decades, and you got to see snow at 20 days old. I would have loved to take you outside just for a second to snap a picture, but it was sooo cold! We held you and let you look at the snow through the window. Thousands of people were stranded over night, and I am so thankful that we were home together and stayed warm. The best part about Snowmageddon is that it let us spend two more days with your daddy. He isn't going back to work until Friday! I know you and I are going to miss him during the week when he goes back to work.

Noah is Two Weeks Old
My sweet boy Noah,
You are two weeks old today already! I feel like we are getting to know each other better every day. We are getting into a routine as a family, and we are all getting a little more sleep this week. You even slept 5 hours straight last night. You are nursing well, and I hope that you have gained back your weight at your doctor's appointment on Friday. We had your newborn pictures made on Monday, and you were a champ. You are so handsome! You even took a few with your big sis Scarlett who is still trying to figure out who you are and why you get so much attention. I think she will warm up to you more as time goes on. You still hate having your diaper changed and your clothes changed, but once you are dressed, you are very very happy. You love to be held, and you slept on my chest for the first time today while your sister slept in my legs. We had a great nap together. We love you and are enjoying having you around. We are blessed to be your parents!
