Noah is One Week Old

My dearest Noah, how you have changed our lives in just seven days.  I still don't realize you are ours sometimes, and your presence in our lives is surreal.  You are a strong willed little fellow who has one loud pair of lungs.  You came into this world sounding madder than hell, but when you cuddle mommy and daddy, you calm down easily.  You also make the loudest gas noises too, and you love to poop when we get you dressed and ready so we have to do it all over again.  You love to punch and kick like a madman, and you love touching your face.  You have screamed during every diaper and clothes change until today when mommy turned on the hairdryer while daddy changed your diaper.  You were like a different child, and I think we will need a second hairdryer.  You have the most beautiful steel blue eyes I have ever seen, and you make the funniest facial expressions by wrinkling your forehead.  Sometimes I think you look like me, but I'm pretty sure you are more McGreevey than anything.  That's ok, your daddy is pretty handsome! You do really well when placed in your carseat, and you went on two walks this week.  You love your pacifier, and you are a good nurser.

Noah, you have brought mommy and daddy closer together.  We have learned to work as a team and help each other take care of you.  Your birth has also showed us how wonderful and giving people are. We have been blessed by so many friends and family who love us and who love you and have helped us these past few days.  What a blessing you are to us and to them, and I am so glad your birth has brought us closer to the ones we love.

We love you Noah!

Love,
Mommy and Daddy
